Yoga is amazing for pregnancy

During pregnancy your body is growing an actual baby! I know that sounds obvious but women often forget that the big changes happening in their body should be treated with the respect they deserve. Yoga is amazing for pregnancy as it teaches us to slow down and listen to our bodies.

Taking part in yoga during pregnancy is the opportunity to:

  1. Work with your body to develop a different, more comfortable way for you to move which is beneficial for you and your baby
  2. Breathe fully and learn how to exhale completely
  3. Move slowly and gently
  4. Rest whenever you need to
  5. Use props such as cushions or blocks to support your knees when needed and especially when resting
  6. Enjoy chest opening practices to promote easy breath
  7. Take the time to let yoga help you focus on yourself and your baby
  8. Use pelvic floor practices to learn how to identify, tone and release the muscles of the pelvic floor
